Daniel Dauber
Originally from New Jersey, Daniel Dauber is an active performer, educator and the tenor saxophonist of the LOTUS Saxophone Quartet. Dauber's versatility in classical and jazz music has led to his affiliation in premiere ensembles such as the New Jersey Wind Symphony, Piedmont Wind Symphony and Phoenix Symphony. He was formerly a member of the award-winning Aenea Reed Quintet, whom notably won first prize at the North American Saxophone Alliance Flex Competition in 2024. As a staunch advocate for new music, Dauber has been involved with premieres and consortiums of new works by John Mackey, Karalyn Schubring, Aron Stornaiulo, Gabriel Bolanos and Jenni Watson. As a session musician, he can be heard playing saxophone in the award-winning film, "Sammy, Without Strings (2022)."
Currently, Dauber is pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Saxophone Performance at Arizona State University under the tutelage of Dr. Christopher Creviston. Dauber holds a Master of Music in performance and a Certificate in Music Theory Pedagogy from Arizona State University (2024), and a Bachelor of Music in performance from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts (2022). He studied saxophone with Christopher Creviston and Robert Young, respectively.
